* February 8, 2013 “Powerful Strategizing”

In both our personal and professional lives, we all have goals, and our goals can be set either by ourselves or by our environment. Some of us see the path toward these goals very clearly, while others take less conscious, more intuitive journey. However we find that path, we all continuously work towards our goals.

On most journeys, good planning is beneficial, even crucial. The current chapter discusses strategizing; planning how to efficiently reach the set goals. Whether you consciously develop these strategies or not, strategizing is a large part of both your personal and professional lives. By increasing your understanding of strategizing and the associated tools, you can strive toward our goals. Furthermore, you move towards them with greater confidence, purpose, and efficiency. All of which will result in an increased success rate in reaching the goals.

* March 8, 2013 “Skillful Time and Energy Management”

“Managing energy, not time, is the key to enduring high performance as well as to health, happiness, life balance and personal renewal.” [The Power of Full Engagement by Loehr and Schwartz]

Imagine a professional athlete entering the Olympic Games. It is evident that this person has been training and optimizing his/her performance for years. He/she has a detailed high-quality nutrition plan optimized for the high performance ‘engine’.

Now consider your typical day. You probably stay in the office for a full eight-hour day. On top of that, you attend to your potential family duties and attend to your own hobbies. That is a lot of activity for one day! The question is: How do you train for this? How do you optimize your nutrition plan for the high performance ‘engine’ that is able to accomplish this all?

This workshop discusses a highly practical approach to managing your energy and your time even more skillfully. We will discuss techniques to becoming even more physically energized, emotionally connected, and mentally focused. The best part is that you can apply these techniques immediately to both your personal and professional lives.

* April 12, 2013 “Practicing Gratitude for Your Personal Power”

Practicing gratitude? Yes, I did say practicing, as one of the most exciting confirmed observations has been that gratitude can not only be deliberately cultivated but can increase levels of well-being and happiness among those who actively cultivate it.

Gratitude is currently receiving a great deal of attention as a facet of positive psychology and a there has been a significant amount of research on the topic since the year 2000. Gratitude is said to have one of the strongest links with mental health and well-being of any character trait. While many emotions and personality traits are important to well-being, there is evidence that gratitude may be uniquely important. Grateful people are more likely to have higher levels of happiness and lower levels of stress and depression.

This workshop will discuss different exercises to practice gratitude to support you in developing a more grateful mind and in further increasing our ability to draw energy from the beauty that surrounds us. Discussion will also include clinical studies proving the power of these exercises as well as suggested further reading in case you are interested in learning more.

* May 17, 2013 “Relationships: Should I Stay or Should I Go?”

Let’s face it: Every relationship has problems. But how bad is too bad? Regardless if you are currently in a relationship or not, this discussion will help you evaluate the good as well as the frustrations in your current and future relationships. Please note that the discussion is not limited to only your romantic relationships. You will also refresh your techniques in diffusing difficult situations as well as probably learn a new trick or two.

Although the discussion will be heavily based on two great books The China Cup Approach to Successful Relationships by Alice Vieira and Should I Stay or Should I go? by Lundy Bancroft and Jac Patrissi, these are not required reading.
